Black Hills Gold 2006!
It appears that Troop 257 will be hitting Black Hills Gold this summer! Plans are being made currently for the troop to head to the Black Hills in South Dakota from June 10 - 18, 2006 (targeted dates are currently being confirmed). What a great opportunity for the Scouts to experience outdoor adventure!
Arrangements are currently being made for this trip. As part of the trip we hope to offer a couple of different experiences that are age appropriate. For Scouts 13 and older we hope to provide a Backcountry Experience with several backcountry activities. For Scouts 12 and older we hope to provide a Base Camp Experience in preparation for future backcountry events. The minimum age requirement for this trip is 12 years old at the time of the trip. The programming of activities will depend on how many sign-up in the various age groups.
Strike it rich and sign-up for Black Hills Gold 2006! More details will begin to emerge in coming weeks and months - Mt. Rushmore, the Crazy Horse Monument, roaming buffalo and much more.
